Mission Story:

I confess that, in reality, I only slept in my suit on four occasions, in Aizuwakamatsu--and I did so because I was cold, not because I was diligent.

I remember trying to get the members in Hachinohe to say the English word "blur". Try that sometime on anyone who is native Japanese. It's like putting peanut butter on the roof of a dog's mouth--it's funny but you feel bad about it.

I'm smiling because I just tried to get a Japanese person to say the English word "blur".

My oh-so-cultured look at the art gallery.

In Shiogama, 1975. And that's why we wear hard hats on the job! From right to left: Fukunaga, me, Schurtz, Metcalf, and some dude who wanted to shoot hoops with us.

Aizuwakamatsu, 1975. When we was fab, bathed in sienna shades of light. Craig Brooksby and studious me up front, and Grant Salisbury photobombing from the rear.
